What We Treat
Psychiatric care for a wide range of mental health conditions. Everyone’s experience with mental health is different. Some people know exactly what they are dealing with. Others are less certain and are trying to understand what their symptoms mean. You may already have a diagnosis, or you may simply know that something doesn’t feel right.
Wherever you are starting, the goal is the same: to understand what is happening and find a way forward.
MindWell Urgent Care provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management for a wide range of mental health conditions, with timely access to care for patients across Dallas and Texas. We are currently accepting new patients and typically offer same-week appointments.
Our Approach to Care
Every patient begins with a full psychiatric evaluation. We take time to understand your symptoms, your history, and what you are experiencing right now. This is not a rushed intake or a quick checklist.
Every evaluation is designed to understand what you’re experiencing, how it’s affecting your life, and what kind of support will help you move forward. Your care includes a comprehensive evaluation and, when appropriate, medication support. Our goal is to help you move from uncertainty to clarity and from symptoms to a plan that feels manageable.

When To Seek Psychiatric Care
You don’t need to have a diagnosis to seek help. You may benefit from psychiatric care if:
- You are experiencing new or worsening symptoms
- Your current treatment is not working
- You need help starting or adjusting medication
- You are struggling to manage daily responsibilities
- You feel overwhelmed or unsure what to do next
Many people wait until symptoms become severe before seeking care. Getting help earlier can make the process more manageable. If your situation feels urgent, you can learn more about your options here:
Medication Management As Part of Care
Medication is often an important part of treatment for many mental health conditions. For some patients, it helps stabilize symptoms. For others, it supports progress alongside therapy or other strategies. You may need to:
- Start medication for the first time
- Adjust an existing prescription
- Explore different options
- Address side effects
At MindWell, medication management is handled thoughtfully and individually. We focus on finding an approach that fits your needs and goals. Follow-up care is available to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
Timely Access to Care
One of the most common challenges patients face is access. Many psychiatric practices have long wait times, even when symptoms are getting worse. At MindWell Urgent Care, we focus on providing psychiatric care with timely access so you can be seen, evaluated, and begin treatment without unnecessary delays. We are currently accepting new patients and offer appointments designed to match when you need care.

In-Person and Telepsychiatry Options
We offer both in-person appointments in Dallas and telepsychiatry visits across Texas. Telepsychiatry allows you to meet with a psychiatric provider through a secure video appointment, providing flexibility and easier access to care. Whether you choose in-person or virtual care, you will receive a full evaluation and personalized treatment plan.

A Practical and Supportive Approach
Mental health care should feel clear and manageable, not overwhelming. At MindWell, our approach is focused on helping you understand what is happening and what steps you can take next. We take time to listen, explain options clearly, and develop a plan that fits your situation. Care is provided by licensed psychiatric providers, including nurse practitioners and therapists, working under the clinical leadership of Dr. Ashkan Soltan, MD.
If You Are Not Sure Where to Start
It’s common to feel unsure about what you are experiencing or what kind of help you need. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. A psychiatric evaluation can help clarify your symptoms and guide you toward the right next steps.
